Porto Coffee Week brings tastings and workshops to the city until 10 October

Porto is celebrating coffee this week. Running from 5–10 October 2026, Porto Coffee Week combines events around the city with a central Coffee Market.
The market takes place at Mercado do Bolhão from 8–10 October, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Admission is free, but tastings require the official festival cup. According to the organiser, the cup costs €10 and covers all three market days. Cup availability is limited.
The programme includes pop-up workshops, a latte-art throwdown and the Portuguese AeroPress Championship. Visitors can explore espresso, filter coffee and signature drinks, with activities aimed at both industry professionals and interested consumers.
The organiser says the programme is predominantly in English, although some workshops are delivered in Portuguese. Visitors should check the language of individual sessions before booking.
The combination of a city-wide programme and a market makes the event useful for discovering roasters as well as brewing skills. For Coffee-Explorer, it provides a timely starting point for a wider guide to Porto’s coffee culture.
Coffee-Explorer tip
Taste small servings and record the origin, roaster and brewing method immediately. After several tastings, individual impressions become harder to separate.
