The AustralAsian Specialty Coffee Association (AASCA) was founded in 2001 by a group of very enthusiatic coffee lovers. . The association has over 15 categories of membership and is open to anyone with an interest in specialty coffee. AASCA has secured the pathway for up-and-coming baristas to compete for Australia at the World Barista Championship and World Latte Art Championship through its relationship with the true Specialty Coffee Associations of: America (SCAA), Europe (SCAE), Ireland (SCAE), Brazil (BSCA), Japan (SCAJ), India (SCAI), Hawaii (HCA), and the World Barista Championship (WBC).
