During the Coffee Kids event, Astoria donated to the organization the amount of US $ 17,000.00 being a sum resulting from sales generated by the Astoria Plus 4 You machines.

The collaboration between Coffee Kids and Astoria Plus 4 You came about when the machine was launched . The concept behind the Plus 4 You, is not only the energy saving of the Green Line label it carries, but the general sustainability of social growth in coffee producing countries.

The aim of Coffee Kids is to improve the quality of life of the families living on the coffee farms. To reach this important objective it collaborates with various associations of Latin America who follow their education, health schemes, micro-credit lending operations and business development activities so that their families – who contribute so much towards the coffee market – may live in dignified and free conditions and are not subject to labour or social exploitation.

Roberto Dal Tio (representing the Dal Tio family, owners of the CMA Group) said, “ we are honoured to be involved with the Coffee Kids sustainability program, and really believe in this concept which alines itself with our thinking behind the Green Line label of the Plus 4 You project

Carolyn Fairman, Executive Director of Coffee Kids, was highly charmed by CMA’s generous donation, which referring to her will allow Coffee Kids to reach more coffee farming communities that are in the need of the association’s help and reflects CMA’s ambition towards “educating others about the realities coffee farmers face” by setting an “example for what you can do to help adress the issues at origin”.
