The aim of the Worldwide Sustainable Coffee Fund is to provide a service to everyone in the coffee chain – from the producer to the final coffee consumer – carried out by coffee people. The Coffee Fund will breathe renewed life into the worldwide coffee business by raising the value and appreciation of coffee culture in the area of consumption, whilst supporting programs in the producing countries with consideration of market demands for quality and sustainability. Nurturing sustainability in the coffee producing areas has to be based on simple and concrete measures in the following core activities: Coffee production + coffee preparation + coffee sales + coffee processing = added value In the area of consumption, the strengthening of the promotion of a “coffee culture” within existing mature markets, as well as penetration into new markets – both in Consuming and Producing countries – is seen as being vital to help coffee to be valued again by the end consumer as a fascinating product – thus increasing overall consumption
