The international press and the industry see it as a unique world appointment where the entire production and supply chain of espresso coffee can gather to present and compare their products and where leading world operators meet to negotiate multi-million euro deals.
Other countries are attempting to replicate what has been achieved by the Trieste Fair, but TriestEspresso Expo remains a landmark for the entire market. Despite the current economic doldrums, leading producers and traders will not miss this appointment, including companies like Illy Caffè, Petroncini, Cogeco, IPA Porcellane, ANCAP, Nuova Simonelli, CMA Astoria, Sandalj, Pecorini, Brambati, Brasilia, Elektra .
The event has been showing a relentlessly upward trend. From 2006 to 2008, exhibitors increased by 15% and the number of visitors that have already confirmed their attendance will make the 2010 edition yet another success

This segment is expanding and local businesses ask for more storage room in the port area to increase their investments.
The world coffee production amounts to approximately 90 billion dollars and consumption is more or less stable. What has changed over the last few years is the type of coffee being consumed, with a growing demand for Italian espresso.
Besides its purely commercial vocation, TriestEspresso Expo will be an opportunity for branch stakeholders to take stock of these trend shifts and identify new market strategies assessing weaknesses, strengths and new guidelines.
The 2010 TriestEspresso Expo edition shall be opened on 28 October by a conference which will also see the participation of speakers like Nestor Osorio, Executive director of the International Coffee Organization London who will speak about Production and consumption trends in the world coffee market, and Vincenzo Sandalj, Chairman of Associazione Caffè Trieste, with a specific focus on the Italian market. This three-day event shall be interspersed with workshops and conferences, including the presentation of Trieste Coffee Cluster, the Agency for the Development of the Coffee Industrial District.
Other events during the three days of TriestEspresso shall attract operators, branch experts and baristas wishing to have a hand-on experience of the new coffee machines and taste the different blends of espresso coffee. The 2010 edition shall also host the MittelEuropean Barista Competition, a new contest for Central-European baristas competing on different aspects, namely the selection of green beans, roasting, brewing of espresso coffee, use of espresso for the creation of innovative beverages. On top of all this, renowned experts shall give classes on how to prepare espresso coffee.
The most important B2B fair for the entire espresso industry is TriesteEspresso Expo, from 28 to 30 October 2010 in Trieste.
